Insurance Information
The Institute for the Advancement of Psychotherapy (IAP), which the Bay Area Oppositional and Conduct Disorder Clinic is a specialty center of, is an out-of-network provider for psychological services. If you have a PPO plan, you can pay for your sessions, we can provide you with an invoice, and you can submit that invoice to your insurance company for reimbursement. To determine your reimbursement, ask your insurance company how many sessions they cover, whether there is a deductible, what percentage they pay, and what the usual and customary rate is. Your insurance company may ask for a tax ID, which is our EIN# 81-1088163 and possibly NPI# 1790594786. They may ask for CPT codes, which are: 90834 Individual Therapy, 90847 Family/Couples Therapy, 90846 Family Therapy w/o Client Present. Your therapist can help you understand what your insurance may cover. Be aware that some insurance companies can take some time before reimbursing and sometimes do not reimburse at the same rate they originally quoted. Unfortunately, the Bay Area Oppositional and Conduct Disorder Clinic does not offer a sliding scale. We are connected with a community clinic, Bay Area Community Counseling, which offers lower fee services with newer clinicians, interns, and trainees who have flexibility with their fees.
