What is Oppositional Behavior from Teens?
Teen oppositional behavior can range from having a bad attitude at home, treating parents rudely, and being argumentative to such extremes as running away, drinking or drug use, being violent or threatening violence, or sexually acting out (dressing inappropriately, being promiscuous, dating out of age range). These behaviors can make for an extremely stressful home environment and lead to severe negative, long-term consequences. What do we specialize in?
Working with teenagers with behavioral problems. Whether those problems are caused by ADHD, depression, trauma, family stressors, loss, temperament problems, Aspergers, sensory problems, attachment disorders, anxiety, or just anger and defiance, we can help families get their live back on track. We have therapists, a psychiatrist, and an educational consultant who are used to working with difficult teens and have success helping to get control of out of control problems, deal with the root of the problem, and rebuild relationships.
